An American author and statistician; brother of the late Paul Leicester Ford; born in Brooklyn, N.Y., Feb. 16, 1858. He was chief of Bureau of Statistics at Washington 1885-98, and lecturer of statistics University of Chicago 1901. Author of: "The Standard Silver Dollar" (1884); George Washington" (1899).
