The climate of Peru does not appear to be favourable to the generation of consumption: and Lima would seem to be a good residence for the phthisical valetudinarian. Many have been benefited by a residence there; but when they have gone farther south, as to Chili, the etfect according to Dr. M. Burrough, has generally been fatal.
