A sort of bandage which envelops the hand and fingers like a glove. It is made with a long roller, about an inch broad; and is applied so that the fingers are covered to their tips, when it is called Gantelet entier ou complet. The Demigantelet includes only the hand and base of the fingers. Both bandages are used in fractures and luxations of the fingers, burns of the hand, &c. See Chirotheca.
